My Story
As a college student, I interned at a VC firm and was lucky enough to visit places like Stanford, Google, Intel, and the VCs on Sand Hill Road—an opportunity almost unheard of at the time. While these scenes are more accessible today, back then, the idea of investors and founders discussing in cafes, top law firm attorneys helping founders from Korea pro-bono, and people at Google sharing ideas over lunch was something I’d only read about. It left a lasting impression and sparked my desire to be part of the startup world.
Many years later, I was still drawn to startups. Thanks to the encouragement of those who believed in me, I embarked on a new journey at a VC firm supporting early-stage startups. Working with passionate founders has been one of the most meaningful and intense experiences of my career.
Now, four years into my journey with Klim ventures, I can look back on countless moments of inspiration and awe that I’ll cherish forever, and I look forward to the next chapters of my life with the same excitement.
Mindset
I have a deep respect for those who create products that, even if they take years to develop or even if they serve only a few customers, have profound meaning in someone’s life. It’s a feat that requires perseverance and courage—something anyone can try, but few actually do.
We're no different. It's at the heart of what we do at Klim Ventures. We aspire to be a founder's partner who waits for and believes in our founders.
When a stonemason struck a rock, it split in two with the 101st blow of the stonemason's hammer—not because of that last hit alone but because of the 100 strikes that came before it. The results may not be immediately visible. But I have faith in the the accumulation of our efforts. We remain committed to our vision. Sharing this belief with entrepreneurs, we continue to strike each blow with conviction, creating value together.
